RETURNS & SHOP POLICY – Lives of Sirens


We want you to love your purchase from Lives Of Sirens but if that's not the case, just refer to and follow the instructions below: 
  • Please read the below returns policy carefully and ensure your items are eligible for a return,
  • Complete ALL required details on the Returns Form included in your parcel or contact us to send you a returns form via email.
  • Pack item(s) in original condition with all tags still attached and the Returns Form included,
  • Send to us within 14 days of receiving the package (any items posted after this timeframe will be refused and returned to sender).
  • Check you don't just need a minor alteration ( we can help with a tailor)









 Before returning you can consider these options.

 SKIRT LENGTH - TOO LONG. If you have some sizing issues, eg, skirt being long and you have no time for alterations, we recommend pinning the hem length for a temporary solution and then altering later on.

  LARGE BUST-BAGGY WAIST - With standard sized gowns, size up to your bust size and get your waist fabric taken in professionally. If you require waistline adjustments to remove excess fabric please work this into your time scale and your budget. This is often cheaper than returning your gown, most of the time, and can create a lovely figure hugging, customised look. 

 WAIST TOO SMALL - Please measure very carefully and refer to the size chart instead of buying your normal size. This will mitigate this problem most of the time. A sneaky way to extend a waist is to add an elasticated zipper. Your tailor may need time for this so please ring around your trusted tailor or dress maker for pricing and availability of this option.

FULL PRICED ITEMS - return costs covered by customer if not faulty
We will happily refund or provide a *store credit for all fully priced items in standard collections, standard sized evening gowns in their original, unworn, un-soiled condition, excluding: 
  • Hair items,
  • Veils,
  • Earrings,
  • Gift boxes,
  • Fabric swatches,
  • Additional fabric,
  • Underwear,
  • Spanx,
  • Bras, 
  • Purchases made during a sale promotion that specified final sale/no refunds.
  • CUSTOM items 
Made to order dress purchases with no size customisations in our STANDARD collections, Vintage Gala, Blush Crush and Botanista can be returned for *store credit or refund, however, please note any rush order fees will not be refunded/credited. If your item is deemed faulty by our team, and all dispatch condition photos have been observed, we will refund all fees associated with the return.
Made to order purchases WITH customisations are final sale, unless faulty.
Customisations are optional extras during the 'Made to Order process' and can or cannot be an additional cost. These include but are not limited to custom sizes, custom colours, extra length, bra suitable, sleeve changes, skirt changes, zipper changes, lining changes and additional belts.
'STUDIO COLLECTION' gowns are ALL, naturally, made to size and are classified, by default, as customised items. These dresses are non refundable unless deemed faulty and in this rare occasion this will be then taken on a case by case basis, in our resolution process.  All final dress measurements will be checked with the measurements you provided before it leaves the studio so to avoid costly mistakes. We cannot accept any liability for incorrect measurements given by you as a customer, so please get measured by a professional tailor or get help from someone who is familiar with the instructions given in each listing. Contact us first, if in doubt about this process, and we can help.
Gowns will be returned at the expense of the customer in un-worn condition, with tags attached and garment unsoiled (this includes pet hair). Please pack carefully as this will affect the item if incorrectly protected against possible wet conditions. Delivery is free in some cases so the return postage has to be absorbed by the customer in these scenarios where the item is not faulty. 
As with all custom made items, in the dress industry specifically,  there is normally a 1cm-3cm deviation in the final article to allow for breathing space and fluctuations. The purpose of a final fitting before your event will tailor your dress to its final glory, (if needed)!
* Please note, store credits are valid for 12 months from the issue date and must be used in full on your next order with Lives Of Sirens. Store credits are not redeemable for cash and any partially used store credits will not be re-issued. All purchases made with a store credit are final and cannot be returned.
Sale items and/or marked down items are final sale, no returns unless the item is deemed faulty.



Contact us for information on exchanges before we post your item. We can exchange should the replacement item be in stock. Due to products frequently selling out, we cannot promise all exchanges and so you might prefer the less complex method of store credit. Custom ordered gowns cannot be exchanged unless faulty.
Return postage costs are the customer’s responsibility and are non-refundable. We recommend returning items through traceable mail, as Lives Of Sirens cannot issue a refund on items that are not received. Please ensure you hold onto the tracking number until you are notified the items have been received by Lives Of Sirens.
Once Lives Of Sirens has received your returned package, all items will be inspected before a refund or store credit is issued. You will be notified via email within 2 business days after the item(s) is received in our Warehouse. Please allow 7-10 business days from then for your refund to revert back into your account. 
Lives Of Sirens reserves the right to deny a return if items are returned used, soiled or damaged in any way. Also items with animal hair, strong smoke odour and or tags removed are not acceptable and will not be considered for a refund. Items that don’t meet the strict criteria will be rejected and returned to the sender. Sorry but we need to re-sell to survive. You got this!
  • Unless an item is confirmed to be faulty, we regret postage fees and rush fees cannot be refunded. 
  • Please note pricing on our website is subject to change without notice.
  • Orders placed before promotions are not eligible to receive new promotions or discounts. We reserve the right to cancel any order due to unauthorised, altered, or ineligible use of the offer, and to modify or cancel any promotion due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Before returning an item for sizing issues you may see a solution in our sizing help section. Small alterations at a local tailor can be more of a viable and typical option, in dress making, than returning your item completely.
  • For all of our lovely customers in the United States, Canada and overseas, in light of difficult returning conditions due to COVID -19, we now offer local advice on tailors, if you do require some alterations to your gown.

  • With gowns that are not custom made, we strongly advise that you buy the next size up if you are in between the sizes or have a larger bust and then tailor your waist with the help of a local dress maker. This will help avoid the costly return of your item and provide a more satisfying shopping experience and couture fit to your figure. For all Afterpay & Zip returns, any future payments for that item/s will be suspended at the time of completing your return.
For Afterpay orders, any paid amount will revert back to your bank account.
